You do not need to understand the work before you use it.

Use the work · choose what fits today

Two ways to use the work.

You do not need to understand the theory first. Start with the route that fits what you need today.

01 · FIELDNOTES

Use Fieldnotes for life as it is happening

Think through something happening in your life, work, studies, relationships, decisions, documents or wider systems.

Use the Fieldnotes Starter Pack →
02 · DHALARMACOLOGY

Use Dhalarmacology when life feels too much

For overwhelm, frustration, stress, depletion—or when serious thinking has become another source of pressure.

Route 01 · for life as it is happening

One file. Then tell your AI what is happening.

The complex work is already packaged for you. Download the starter pack, upload it to your own AI and use one ready-made prompt.

The framework helps the AI ask better questions before it gives answers.

  1. 01

    Download

    One combined PDF.

  2. 02

    Upload

    Add it to your AI.

  3. 03

    Copy

    Use the ready-made prompt.

  4. 04

    Talk and correct

    Your account stays in charge.

Step 02

Upload the starter pack

In ChatGPT, use the attachment button beside the message box. The wording can vary slightly between devices, but the route is short.

  1. 1Tap or click the + beside the message box.
  2. 2Choose “Add photos or files”.
  3. 3Select Fieldnotes_AI_Starter_Pack.pdf.
Step 03

Copy one prompt

Paste this into the same conversation after the starter pack has attached. Replace only the final bracketed line.

Using the Calibration Statement and Fieldnotes documents in the starter pack I uploaded, help me understand how this may apply to my circumstances.

Before giving recommendations, ask only for important information that is missing and would materially change your understanding.

Explain things in simple everyday language.

Keep what I actually tell you separate from anything you infer.

Do not assume that a difficulty is caused by motivation, attitude or personal failure when conditions, energy, regulation, opportunity or capacity may be relevant.

If I correct something you have misunderstood, use my correction.

What I want help with is:

[write what is happening here]
Step 04

Say what is happening in your own words

You do not need theory language. Start with the sentence you would naturally say to somebody who was trying to understand.

“I’m exhausted after work and can’t study.”
“Summarise this document for my role and explain what matters most in practice.”
“Compare this framework with the system or process I currently work within.”
“Review this draft and show where fact, interpretation and assumption may be blending together.”
“Help me prepare for a meeting without losing the important context.”
“A project keeps stalling even though people are trying. What conditions should we examine?”
“I need to make a decision. Ask what information is missing before helping me think it through.”
“People keep describing me or this situation in a way that does not feel accurate.”
Step 05

Answer what matters. Correct what does not fit.

The AI should ask for context before jumping to advice. It can still misunderstand you.

Your account has priority.

If the AI gets something wrong, tell it. Use suggestions that fit. Ignore the ones that do not. Uploading Fieldnotes does not transfer authority over your life to the tool.

Try: “That is not quite right. What you have inferred is ____. What is actually happening is ____.”

A short boundary

Fieldnotes is a reflective framework, not a diagnostic or decision-making service. AI can misunderstand you and can still be wrong. Correct it when it gets your circumstances wrong. For urgent, medical, legal or safety-critical decisions, appropriate professional support may still be necessary. Avoid adding identifying or highly private information unless you understand the privacy settings of the AI you use.

That is the whole route: one download, one upload, one prompt and one conversation.
